Marking the milestone of 26th year of this reputed event,8th march 2018 was celebrated as Women’s day in the campus followed by the Captain’s meet. Women’s cricket was the initiation of the whole event in which teams from various batches played with full zeal along with female faculty members and greatly delighted the audience,which was fairly evident from their loud cheers for the teams. Following this Mrs Sonia kulkarni , an ambassador from’The pink Initiative’ carried the show forward by creating awareness about ‘pinkathon’, an event to support breast cancer awareness, involving an awareness video and some fun filled activities with the students. The IMPACT 2018 winners trophy was then revelled in front of the audience by Ma’am accompanied by Mr S R Tendulkar, Dean Administration of welingkar mumbai.
Following this their was a mesmerising performance by SVC (self vision centre)band in which all the visually impaired band members simply created their thunder and fascinated everyone with their sweet melodies.


Adding to the epic show Mr Hari from Musician mall Mumbai amazed the audience with his electrifying and energetic Djembe performance and also involved the crowd with his creative approach of 50 djembe settings for the audience to experience the same, captivating the crowd and making the event a Hugh success. The students were united again by the rocking band performance of Welingkar’s own students which was followed by the final event of the day that is the official Meeting of all the team captains accompanied by their playing teams from all the participating colleges which are SIES, Lala’s, Chetna, MET, Atharva, KJ somaiya , Thakur, N L Dalmia and the home team Welingkar, in which Mr Gaurav Kumar, captain-Welingkar’s, briefed the rules and regulations of the tournament followed by a brief discussion between the players answering all their queries and also signing the official 2018 impact t-shirts by the captains as a token of their presence in the event. In a nutshell the all day long event was well coordinated and fun filled creating a vision of immense success throughout the tournament.
